Alois was one of the First Eagle Boy Scout in East Toledo. He was an active
Boy Scout for almost 65 years of his life. He was also involved with Explorer
Scouts as an adult leader. During his Scouting career, he earned his Eagle
Award, the Saint George Award, and his Silver Beaver Award.
As an Adult, Alois worked as a Baker, and tried his hand at Farming.
During World War II, Alois went to work for Owens-Illinios in Toledo and
retired in 1985 as a Senior Design Engineer. Working at O-I, Alois was
involved with the development of the technology for screw on caps (Gerber
Baby Food jars).
